Stock & Non-Stock Lenses

If you are unsure which category your order fits in, we will confirm this once your order has been received in the lab.

Stock Lenses

Lenses we keep readily available in our lab.

We can start glazing as soon as we receive your frames and any required information. Stock lenses typically offer the fastest turnaround, especially when paired with Fast Track or our ULTIMA coating.

Includes:

  • Most non-prescription lenses (1.5 index)
  • Single vision clear (1.5 / 1.6/ 1.67 / 1.74 index)
  • Single vision with blue light (1.5 / 1.6 index)
  • Transitions® GEN S™ (Grey, Brown, Graphite Green – 1.5 / 1.6 index)
  • Single vision sunglass tints (Grey, Brown, Green – 1.5 / 1.6 index)

Non-Stock Lenses

Lenses made to your specific requirements.

We need to prepare your lenses before we can begin glazing, as these options are custom-made to suit your prescription or chosen tint. They’re typically required for more complex prescriptions or specialist finishes, naturally taking a little longer to complete.

Includes:

  • Specialist requirement prescriptions (above 2 CYL, prisms, high plus powers)
  • All Varifocal / Bifocal / Digital & Lifestyle lenses
  • Transitions® GEN S™ style colours – Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire
  • Transitions® XTRActive®, XTRActive® mirror & XTRActive® Polarized
  • Polarised, Mirror, Gradient, Fashion, Specialist and Bespoke tints

Please Note: Production Times Are Estimates

While our production timeframes are accurate for most orders, certain factors can affect whether a lens is classified as stock or non-stock. These include:

  • Prescription strength – very high or uncommon prescriptions may require custom surfacing, even for clear single vision lenses.
  • Pupil Distance (PD) – specific or unusual PD measurements may require additional lens preparation time.
